New video: How a pandemic pivot changed everything for this event management platform

Excited to share the latest in a video series produced for global venture firm Next47, where we tell the behind-the- scenes stories of their compelling portfolio companies.

Bizzabo started as an app to help make events more engaging, and evolved into a full-service platform to empower event organizers. In 2020 when the global pandemic hit, the live event industry was upended. But Bizzabo saw an opportunity and pivoted their strategy. 2020 saw the Bizzabo team and platform support some of the biggest virtual events in the world, and set up the company as a leader in the evolving landscape of virtual and hybrid events.

It’s a great story of a dynamic company refusing to let the pandemic set them back.

Speaking of “hybrid”, we filmed this video back in winter and spring of 2021, and took a hybrid approach ourselves, with footage filmed on location by our NYC team with remote support from Long Haul LA, combined with material recorded completely remotely with one of Bizzabo’s Boston-based partners.
